These iconic creatures use their widely set eyes with panoramic vision to enable them to see their prey more easily. They also use electrical fields to locate their favourite food - stingrays that are buried in the sand. Hammerheads can grow to 20 foot long and weigh up to 1000 pounds, but mostly they are smaller and are pose little threat to humans.
Hammerheads are threatened by commercial fishing, which is mainly for their fins. They are long-lived, but have few young which makes them vulnerable to overfishing. Unfortunately their head shape increases their likelihood of getting caught up in gillnets - thankfully these types of nets have been banned in most areas of the world, but illegal gillnet fishing still exists.
Organic Cotton has a much lower environmental impact than conventionally grown Cotton. This is because it's cultivated using less water with no harmful pesticides. This is better for the planet, the farmers and your skin.
